"I am Tara, this is my husband Terry, and our pup Zoey. We have 3 children and 1 sweet and sassy granddaughter. Our two girls are now in college and we are in the high school years with our son.
Being a mom and wife has kept me very busy over the years and I had not prepared for what was in store when my children left home. I quickly discovered I needed a hobby, more than cooking, gardening, chasing our pet chickens and Crossfit. That's when I began to research soap making.
I began making soap for fun and fell in love with the creative outlet it provided me. Soon I had an over abundance of soap on my hands and my husband had just committed to go on his first Mission Trip to Mexico with Hero Makers. In perfect timing I decided I'd attempt to rid my shelves of all this soap and fund his trip. It became clear that this plan would not only be a huge success but gave me the confidence I needed to continue to grow what is now Great Scot Soapery!"
